Here’s what’s new in Rock’s GitHub for Pre-Alpha Release v17.0.36, released on 1/22/2025.
v16.8 Highlights
v16.8 was released as the latest secured version on January 21, 2025. See the Release Notes for complete details.
-
Issue 6098 Fixed a bug to resolve a stack overflow issue in the Group Scheduler that caused Rock to restart when adding or removing people in a group, particularly from a parent-child-grandchild group type hierarchy.
-
Issue 6113 Fixed a bug that created an exception when an interaction was added with a duplicated unique identifier.
16.9 Highlights
- Issue 6149 The Rock team implemented a workaround to resolve an issue where SendGrid no longer accepts the formatted name (e.g., "Admin" <admin@organization.com >) in the Reply-To field as a Safe Sender Domain, causing emails sent to the Reply-To address to default to the organization's main email address.
v17.0 Highlights
- Enhanced the Universal Search crawler job to provide a more accurate count of pages successfully indexed on a site. Previously, the job would report the total number of pages discovered during the crawl and count on pages that aren’t indexed.
- Introduced the Entity Search List block and a new entity type, Entity Search, which enables administrators to add entity searches through the new v2 API endpoints. This feature allows administrators to view and modify how an entity's information is structured when retrieved via the v2 API. Consider this new entity like a personalized catalog of books. This catalog features a list of books (entities) based on criteria set by the administrator. The administrator has the authority to determine which details about each book are included and how many books are displayed in the catalog.
Mobile Highlights
Added a new transaction detail block to allow individuals to view their transaction details.
Added a new giving block to allow native donations on the mobile app.
